  Step 1
  Open normal 1.0.4 game client.
  Change Region to Americas before logging.
  Log into Americas
  Create hero there.
  Log out
  Change region back to Europe.
  Log in.
  Exit 1.0.4 game client.
  Open 1.0.5 PTR game client.
  Log in.

  At that point I started seeing the character create screen and then got DC'ed with another error code.
  Fixed that too by typing random letters and pressing where "Create character" button is.
  Now I have a character and am receiving errors 3005 and 3006 on a round-robin basis.
  For this step 2 is the solution yet.

  I did this and then this

  Step 2
  1. Start client (PTR)
  2. At log-in screen, go to "Options" (do not log in)
  3. Go to "Account" tab
  4. Under language selection dropdown menu, select "German"
  5. At the prompt, restart the client
  6. After the download completes, start client
  7. Log in normally to PTR
  8. Upon entering menu, type "/leave" to exit General Chat
  9. Go back to "Options" and find the "Account" tab (third from top)
  10. From the language selection dropdown menu, select the first language (English)
  11. At the prompt, restart the client
  12. Client will update, start client and log in normally
