Pár hónappal ezelőtt a Nintendo útjára indított egy új kezdeményezést, ami a Nintendo Direct címet kapta. Ez egy régiókra lebontott amolyan mini konferencia, amit videón közvetítenek a nagyvilág számára. Ezekben a videókban pedig az újdonságokat mutatják be, olykor új játékokat jelentenek be. Az európai változatot ismét Satoru Iwata vállalta magára.
